Why I built Smartutor
After 7 years teaching Year 6, I kept seeing the same thing. Bright, capable children arriving at SATs underprepared - not because they weren't smart enough, not because their teachers hadn't taught them - but because everything available at home was random. Random worksheets. Random tutoring sessions. No structure, no progression, no plan.
Parents were doing everything right - investing time, investing money, trying their best. But nothing joined up. Nothing built week on week. A worksheet here, a tutoring session there - but no clear path, no programme, no guarantee that everything was being covered. I knew there had to be a better way. So I built it.
Smartutor is a proper 28-week structured maths programme, designed from the ground up by an experienced Year 6 teacher who knows exactly what children need to succeed in SATs and gain entry to grammar school.
